Under orders

Re CIA Director John Brennan’s defence of the agency following the senate torture report: “the overwhelming majority of officers involved in the program carried out their responsibilities faithfully and in accordance with the legal and policy guidance they were provided. They did what they were asked to do in the service of our Nation.”

Do you regret that that this argument was specifically denied to Nazi functionaries in the Nurenberg trials? Or do you believe that what was not allowed to the Germans is allowed to Americans due to their exceptional status as Americans? Even German-Americans?

Or do you not concern yourself with such trifles as law and the meaning of words?

Congratulations!  You are a conservative!
